Showcase: Rotex CuritibaPhilipp Sander
Rotex Curitiba (D4730) is located in southern Brazil, east of the state of Paraná. We were founded in 2008 and have 26 active members. We organize about seven weekends and/or events during the year for our lovely Inbounds and Outbounds, including:
– Inbound Immersion Weekend: The first contact we have with the Inbounds, where we have the opportunity to give them tips for their exchange year, information about the District, and of course, how to have a lot of fun!
– Two Social Projects: A great opportunity for Inbounds to help out in the community and get to know a different reality of the place where they are doing their exchange.
– Halloween Party
– Guartelá Canyon and Honey Island: Two weekends when we take our Inbounds to visit the most wonderful places of our district.
Furthermore, we help the district in all of the events organized during the year for Inbounds, Outbounds, and Rebounds for the Long Term Exchange Program, Short Term Exchange Program, New Generations Service Exchange, and Camp Rotary.
The participation of our members at the 1st and 2nd International Rotex Conventions gave us the motivation and idea for one of our biggest achievements so far: the organization of the 4th Brazilian Rotex Convention in 2015 – the first one after more than 20 years! This event was a milestone for the development of Rotex in Brazil through enhancing ideas and teamwork and promoting the creation of new Rotex clubs around the country. With the organization of the 6th Brazilian Rotex Convention this year in São Luís, we are proud to see the development of Rotex in Brazil.
We benefit from a very good relationship with Rotary in our District, as many different Rotary Clubs and Rotarians support us during our weekends and activities.
We are looking forward to seeing what the future is holds for us and can’t wait to see you all in Taiwan next year at the 4th Rotex International Convention 2018! Here is a video from our Immersion Weekend!
